On October 15, 1995, Gretna Christian celebrated their 84th anniversary. The Reverend Cecil O. Rhodes was the minister. Music was provided by Mrs. Linda Dalton and Mrs. Eliza Hines.
The Invocation was by S. H. Crawley, Jr. The announcements and recognition of visitors by Reverend Rhodes.
Deacons serving were Oscar Kennedy, Lawrence Abbott, Clark Hedrick and Mike Dellis.

A special song "He's Still Working On Me" was performed by Jessica and Brandon and the choir sung "On The Jericho Road". The scripture and sermon were by visiting minister the Reverend Roy Parker.
The church placed four roses in memory of church members who had died in the past year since the last homecoming. They were: James H. Bollings, Sr., Ola P. Crawley, Thomas R. Crawley and Ruth Owen.
After the church service a luncheon was held in the Educational Building which everyone enjoyed.
