Donald L. Morrison in the Chesapeake Christian

L. Donald Morrison was the minister for Gretna Christian Church from 1962 to 1965.  Donald Morrison was born near Clarksville, Virginia.  He was baptized at the Public Fork Christian Church, Red Oak, Virginia.  He attended public school in Clarksville, Virginia.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.  Following this he was in business and industry until he felt the call to enter the ministry.  He was a powerhouse operator at the John H. Kerr Dam, Boydton, Virginia.

Leaving this he entered Lynchburg College, to prepare for the ministry.  He graduated from Lynchburg College with the A.B. degree in June 1965.  While attending Lynchburg College, he served the Gretna Christian Church, Gretna, Virginia.

Donald Morrison was married to Mary Alice Watson of Forest, Virginia.  They had three daughters, Teresa, Dana and Betsy.
