As you know the Reverend Billy Weeks was Gretna Christian Church's minister from 1953 to 1955.  Below are some of his other accomplishments.

William Perry Weeks, Jr. born Ococee, Florida, on September 17, 1929.  He was a minister, lecturer, counselor, college consultant and writer.  He was educated at the University of Orlando, 1953, B.A.; Lynchburg College Va.  1955; Lexington Theological Seminary, 1956.

He was a student minister at Ococee, Florida, Gretna and Chatham, Virginia.  He served as a minister in Shepherdsville, Kentucky,Bartow, Florida, Tampa, Florida, Ococee, Florida and Ft. Myers, Florida.

Reverend Weeks was a consultant for Lynchburg College, Lynchburg, Virginia, Worked with youth and underprivileged people.  Books published:  A Handbook for Christian Laymen 1959,  Contributed to World Call; The Christian; The Secret Place; The Bethany Guide and various newspapers.

Awarded a Citation by the State of Florida, signed by Governor Haydon Burns, for his work toward the control and prevention of alcoholism in the State of Florida.  Awarded a Scholarship to the Yale University School of Alcoholism and graduated from the Florida School of Alcoholism (Florida State University) and the Graduate School of Alcoholism at the University of Central Florida.  Took numerous short courses in Mental Health, Child Care, Social Services, Law, etc.
 Listed in Who's Who in the Protestant Clergy, Community Leaders of America, National Social Directory; Who's Who in the U.S. International Directory of Biography; Royal Blue Book of London, Two Thousand Men of Achievement; Who's Who in the South and Southwest; Who's Who in the south and others.  Named Bartow, Florida "Outstanding Citizen of the Year; The Man of the Day for the Tampa Bay Area; Awarded citations for Outstanding Community Service in Fort Myers, Florida by both the Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) and the Optimist Club.
