Gretna Church Dedicates New Addition

The Gretna Christian Church, Gretna, Virginia, on October 20, 1963, commemorated its 52nd Anniversary by Dedicating a new Education-Fellowship addition.  The program consisted of the Dedication Service at 11:00 a.m. followed by a picnic lunch on the grounds, and an informal song service at 2:00 p.m.
A challenging Dedicatory Sermon, "Building to Serve," was delivered by Dr. Allen B. Stanger, Director of Religious Activities, Lynchburg College, Lynchburg, Virginia, who is held in great esteem by the people of the Gretna Church for his inspiration and interest both past and present.
The church was grateful that Tommy Charlton, member of the First Christian Church, Radford, Virginia, could be present for the informal song service to lend his musical talent at the piano and organ.  They also appreciated the fine contribution to the service by the Gretna High School Chorus.
The day was a challenging and inspirational experience for all who attended.  The congregation expressed appreciation in what they have been able to do; with God's help it will be a step forward in doing greater work which Christ calls them to do.
Donald Morrison is minister of the Gretna Christian Church.

Thank you.
